Spin & Lift
Come check out a new class on Tuesday & Thursday mornings @ 9:30 am with Sandy. This class is sure to give your legs and upper body a great workout! You will stay on the bike the entire class, but you will use hand weights during a few songs to tone your upper body.
60-minute fun, athletic, cardiovascular indoor cycling classes – the ultimate calorie killer. Start pedaling and let go as the music takes you on the ride of your life along various terrains, speeds, and intensities. Go at your own pace and enjoy a group exercise session full of motivation and sweat!! Participants can burn an average of 500-600 calories in one session. All fitness levels are encouraged to participate.
Sandy Fagin has been a Registered Dietitian for over 40 years. In her lengthy career as a Dietitian, she has had a variety of nutrition positions in many areas delivering training and nutrition education including classes at the junior college level, community presentations to groups as large as 500, consulting with health clubs and gyms for many years as a Sports Nutritionist, and writing and producing, and starring in a weekly nutrition news feature for a television news station in Colorado. In her last position at the California Department of Public Health, she was the lead for trainings related to physical activity where she created trainings on active aging, developing walkable communities, and integrating physical activity into community programs and policy, systems, and environmental change. She was a spin instructor for 15 years at California Family Fitness before moving to Sunset Beach and joining Body Edge as a spin and Silver Sneakers instructor.
