Yoga
Our classes are a combination of Hatha and Vinyasa. Vinyasa ( translates to “flowing with breath”) is a dynamic style of Hatha yoga which joins physical postures with inhales and exhales, creating a steady internal rhythm for the practice. Classes are designed to cultivate heat in the body with creative sequences involving sun salutations, standing and seated postures, back bending and a strong focus on the power of breath awareness. Leave class with a more centered, focused and peaceful you.

Irina Phalen, RYT 500
Irina is a registered 500 hour Yoga Alliance teacher. She has 15 years of yoga practice with some of the best teachers and 8 years of teaching experience.
Irina taught at Sonic Yoga Studio in NYC, YMCA of South Shore in Staten Island and in Ellenton, Florida. When preparing for a yoga class Irina tries to find a theme, an image, or anything that resonates with her heart at the moment, locate that in her body and create a class to share with her students. She says, “there are so many inspiring things around us and sometimes all we need to do is slow down, breathe and listen.”
Nicole Raitano, CYT 800
Nicole started practicing in 1994 but it wasn’t until 2012 that she graduated from Southwest Institute of Healing Arts in Tempe, AZ as an 800 hour Yoga Teacher/Therapist. She went on to further study Yoga Therapy at Amrit Yoga Institute in Salt Springs, FL where she also became certified as a Yoga Nidra facilitator. Nicole teaches to all levels with a casual style and propensity towards humor, encouraging students to feel comfortable in their practice.
Nicole teaches Yoga for Strength & Stability on Wednesdays – A functional yoga class geared toward retirees yet adaptable to any age and level. We focus on proper breathing, actively engaging muscle groups (alignment) and releasing stored tension in chronically tight areas. Balance will also be addressed with focus on fall prevention.
Gentle/Yin Yoga on Friday mornings – A deeply relaxing yoga class with longer holds and mostly seated work, this class will focus on deep, slow, rhythmic breathing which allow the muscles, tendons and ligaments to relax without struggle or strain. Bring your own blankets or bolsters if you have them.
